Bandit, a gray and brown tabby cat, sleeps upside down in an elevated bed, bathed in pink light.

Acquired in 2020, Bandit is a self-domesticating cat who moved into the Zipser family home after an unknown number of years living on her own as an outside cat.

A generally sweet-natured cat, Bandit will occasionally pick fights with her sister Ariel, both for territory and her own amusement.

Favorite treat: a true trash cat, Bandit loves wet food and canned tuna but will also fight her mom for Doritos if a bag is opened in front of her.

Cat? Or raccoon? Because of her strong markings (including a ringed tail), Bandit has often gotten mistaken for a raccoon, including frequently getting caught in Have-A-Heart traps at her former residence.

Small size, big attitude: Although she’s the smallest of the political interns, Bandit is accomplished at handling herself. She has such confidence that she’s known for sleeping upside down and snoring loudly, even though she and her sister Ariel don’t get along.
